About Dr.

Functional medicine is truly my heart’s calling. I’m a firm believer in taking a holistic approach to healthcare. By looking at structural, nutritional, and emotional aspects of health, I strive to find the root cause of a patient’s symptoms and develop individualized therapeutic plans accordingly. Healthcare is evolving - as is the doctor-patient relationship! I think of my interactions with clients as partnerships, as we will be working together to help you function at your peak and reach your health and wellness goals.

I became interested in functional medicine when I was in college. At age 21, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid gland. I knew I had a family history of autoimmune disease already, and I had seen firsthand that traditional medicine was not always 100% helpful for these conditions. I experimented with a lot of dietary and lifestyle changes and found a plan (based in functional medicine) that worked - and still works - for me, and I have managed my health extremely effectively this way. I incorporate a solid nutrition plan, target supplemental support when needed, and a balanced fitness plan as a priority in my life, and can help you do the same in your own life.

I attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, graduating with a degree in Biology and Society with a concentration in Nutrition and Health. I went on to study at New York Chiropractic College, where I graduated with an MS in Applied Clinical Nutrition and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, both with honors. Currently, I am finishing up my certification with the Institute for Functional Medicine. I have completed, and continue to do, extensive continuing education in nutrition and functional medicine with the Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine, Apex Seminars, Standard Process, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and other organizations.

Chiropractic school taught me the importance of proper movement and structure for peak health, and opened the doors for me to enter the world of functional medicine and all of the amazing tools it offers. I can’t wait to share those tools with you, whether you are suffering from autoimmune disease or chronic inflammation, want to optimize performance, or want to address environmental toxins and stressors. Work with me, and I can help you incorporate nutrition and wellness into your lifestyle to achieve your goals!
